I'm alive..

It was brought to my attention that I've not updated my blog in 4 months. That is mostly bc I haven't had anything interesting happen lately. McKenzie ate two pennies this morning because "they were really yummy, mommy" or so she said anyway. The weather has really messed up all my weekend plans. Tonight I was going to Relay for Life to walk with a friend of mine. Of course it has rained and rained and rained so that was cancelled. I really hated for it to be cancelled because of the importance of them walking. I think it's something great they can do to honor the memory of the ones they lost. I especially hated it for the Survivors who beat the darn disease! We also planned to do the March of Dimes walk in Tuscaloosa in the morning which will probably be rained out as well. Emerson's 1st birthday was planned for Saturday afternoon and it has now been moved to Sunday. I love the rain, but really, on the ONE weekend I had things planned? Because of the rain, I did get to go to the school play at Immanuel. The kids did a great job. Then I went to a great friend's house where we talked until 1am...crazy! Sooo past my bedtime. She is awesome though and she let me talk (too much) and she was gracious enough to be my counselor for the night even though she says she's not qualified. Haha. I will ask that you say a prayer for those who have lost someone they loved. It's easy to think of them right after the loss, but even years afterwards they need encouragement and love and someone to listen. It may not be so present in your mind but they still carry the sadness and the scars. Don't take for granted being able to pick up the phone and call your Mom to talk about absolutely nothing if you want. Every girl needs to hear she's beautiful but not everyone still has that someone to tell them that. That's all my mushy stuff for tonight. It's 2:40am and it's a miracle i'm still functioning.

For my friend, you are beautiful and I love you :-)

"Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting -- a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
